Week 6

This week our work pressure for the course is less compared to the other weeks. We had to post only two Nicenet post this week. However, we had to do a lot of readings this week. From two discussion topics, we had t o choose one to provide our opinion. The topics were – (1) Interactive teachings and large classes (2)Powerpoint to increase interaction. I read all the materials from both the topics but I chose to give opinion on the second one since our next task was to create an interactive powerpoint lesson. I prepared a powerpoint for the young learners, made it very colorful and chose games as a method of teaching as children loves games.

This week Donna also told us to start implementing our project in our classes. The results and feedbacks of implementation have to be recorded since we will be using them in creating our project draft in the week 8-9. I have already started feeling excited about this.

Week 5

Week 5
As one month passed, our works are increasing. This week we gave our opinion on project based learning, assessments and projects.  We created our own rubrics in the web and a webquest (for extra credit). Both this websites are new for me and most of the other participants. I had a little difficulty in creating them but I managed to overcome it. We also talked about a problem in our class and how we can solve it using new technology.

I must admit that through this course I am getting introduced to many new different websites, resources and online teaching instruments which I never knew before. Thanks to Donna and the Webskill course.

Week 4

The week 4 is over, which means 1 month from our 3 months duration course is also over!!  It seems the time is flying really fast.  We are getting more involved with the projects. We made a draft of the technology enhanced lesson plan and shared it in the Nicenet. Before preparing it, we went through the “how to prepare a lesson plan” and looked at Baltimore County Public School’s website to see how they prepare their lesson plan. Then, using the lesson plan template, we made our own one and shared.
We also shared one problem that can be solved using Rubrics.  We read three articles from the “Websites to Explore”, shared the specific URL and created ABCD objectives.  Looking forward to Week 5 and see what is coming up for us.

Reflection on Week 3

I had an extremely busy week but still I managed to find out some time for Webskill . This week we read two articles on CALL and Aural/Oral skill building,  found out some websites and shared the link and opinion rather recommendation about the link. The links were very useful. I went through wed links that were posted by the participants and was very delighted since most of us found out unique web links.

We also read the sample projects provided in the course outline. This was very useful since we, the participants, are also going to do a similar task soon. I read Camelia Pagila’s project and found it very useful.  I shared my opinion in the Nicenet discussion regarding her project. We also opened our account in delicious. To me, this is a new thing.

These are a few things that we did in Week 3. Looking forward to Week 4.
